  CMA-FEST 2012
  DURANGO ACOUSTIC STAGE

CMA-FEST 2012
The Performance

Con was proud to be invited again this year to perform at the
Durango Acoustic Corner.

Durango Boots sponsors the entertainment, and WSM radio carries the performances live on the air and via the internet. Eight to ten artists perform on the Durango stage each day of CMA-Fest.

Con is happy to be here and it shows!

Today's line-up
was just spectacular!
Other artists appearing were Bucky Covington, Janie Fricke, Gwen Sebastian, Buddy Jewell, T. Graham Brown, Carter's Chord, Jimmy Fortune, Marty Raybon, and Con featured last in this great group of entertainers. And that's just today's line-up... ...WOW-WEE!
Each artist does about
a 30 minute set of their music. And get this...the show is FREE with your ticket to come to
Fan Fair Hall!
Without a doubt, one of the best events of the
entire Festival!

The setting for this stage is very audience friendly with seating placed close to the stage. Plus there are only 150-200 seats, so if you don't arrive early, it's standing room only.
Members of the
Grand Ole Opry staff band accompany most of the artists appearing.
Today's musicians are Jimmy Capps on guitar, Mark Beckett on drums, Tim Atwood on piano, and Danny Davis on bass. That, folks, is some
mighty fine pickin'!
Jimmy Capps has played in the Grand Ole Opry staff band for years. In addition to that, he is a regular on Larry's Country Diner on the RFD-TV network.

Jimmy and Con are great friends, and with Con's appearances on RFD-TV's Country Family Reunion shows as well as Larry's Country Diner, the two have worked together quite a bit this year.

Con starts his set with a couple of his classic hits, No Relief In Sight and What's New With You.
Next, Con sings an up tempo song from his Sweet Memories CD,
She Ain't You.
Con was thrilled to have legendary saxophone player Boots Randolph play on the album cut.
That's All That Matters To Me is one of Con's favorite songs, and has been for years. He first recorded
the song on the
Warner Brothers album - Con Hunley, No Limit.
Con loved the song so much that he recorded it again years later for the Sweet Memories CD.
Both CD's are available for purchase on Con's website by clicking here or on the Store tab above.
Con closes his set with You've Still Got A Place
In My Heart
...nobody does a ballad better than Con! Awesome!
The fans think so, too! If you missed this perfomance, you can hear it on WSM's website by clicking here (Friday, Part 2)

Con's gonna hurry on over to greet fans and sign autographs at the WSM booth...see you over there! Click here to visit or click here to visit Con's other CMA Fest pages.
