|Con gives back!
Relay For Life - Fri, May 13, 2011Luminarias light the walking track at Mercy Hospital for the Knoxville North Relay For Life. Con was happy to perform for this worthy cause to benefit the American Cancer Society.
Most of you know that Con's brother, Tim, lost his battle in 2009, and his father in 2004. It's a horrible disease that does not discriminate, and sadly, even if you have
not been affected yourself by this disease, chances are you know someone who has.....|
|After a great set |
by local group Bad Penny, the opening ceremonies take place.
Then Con's nephew, Stephen Hunley, takes the stage.
|Despite cool and damp weather conditions, the glowing spirit of patients, survivors and supporters warmed the hearts of everyone in attendance!|
|And to warm things up even more....|
...Con and his band perform a mighty hot set!
|Ruthie and Kenny provide the smooth harmonies....|
|And the band lays down an awesome groove! |
Greg English on guitar, Burton Akers on bass,
Jon Cormack on keys, Tony Creasman on drums, and Ken Jackson on sax.
|Con thanks everyone for coming out and taking part in the Relay For Life....|
We won't stop fighting until there's a cure!
