Con Hunley's never sounded better! His voice is strong, pure and full of emotion as he serves up his signature mix of R&B Country Soul. Con sang several new songs from the Sweet Memories CD, did many of his old hits and performed a few special requests for the sold-out crowd.
Con Hunley is groovin' on the piano while a grinnin' Burton Akers lays down the beat on the bass guitar. Truly a man of many talents, Burton has been called a "musical genius," by Con and others who have had the privilege of sharing a stage with him.
Con puts some feeling into it while Jimmy Green cuts loose on lead guitar. The evening was extra special for Jimmy because he proposed and she said "yes" at midnight. Congratulations Jimmy and Tammy!
Herby Wallace wows the crowd with his skill on the steel guitar. Herby was recently elected to the Steel Guitar Hall of Fame and he really showed the audience why he deserves to be there.
The dance floor was packed and the "Smoky Mountain Blue-Eyed Darlin'" really had the crowd swinging. They were beggin' for more by evening's end.
Men At Work!
What a trio . . . Con Hunley gets down on the piano while Ken Jackson blows the crowd away on the saxophone at far left. Ken's been playing with Con since the early 1970's. That's Herby Wallace cookin' on the steel guitar in the middle.
