CMA SHOWCASE, CMA HEADQUARTERS ON MUSIC ROW, NASHVILLE, TN

CMA Showcase
CMA Headquarters
Nashville, TN

It was a gorgeous spring afternoon at the CMA headquarters on Music Row in Nashville when IMMI Records held a reception showcasing Con Hunley for the CMA staff out on the back patio. Good food, drink, music and weather combined for a truly delightful event!

(L to R) IMMI Records President Lisa Starbuck, Con Hunley, CMA President Ed Benson
CMA President Ed Benson gets things started, welcoming Con with a terrific introduction and quick overview of Con's career. Watch a videoclip here.
Con and the guys perform a few songs for the CMA staff. Accompanying Con on lead guitar with his usual panache was Randy Layne, and Burton Akers laid it down on bass guitar.
Con wows the crowd with his unique version of Bill Anderson's classic "Still" and shows them why he's got that rep for "blue-eyed soul."
GAC's Storme Warren was there taping a segment for "Country Music Across America" which will air sometime in late July.
After the performance, Ed shows Con the brass nameplate with his name and date to be added to the plaque in the CMA lobby which commemorates all the guest artists who have performed at the CMA.
Next, Ed presents Con with some gifts from the CMA, including a DVD entitled "Music Business 101." Con jokes, "Oh, NOW you want to give this to me - where were you back in the 70's?!"
The IMMI team hits a home run with this event!
